A few things that will help you not to get shot out of your bunker:
- Keep your muzzle back from your bunker. This allows you to ‘snap’ back into cover more quickly because you will not have
to either drop or otherwise move your gun relative to your body to get back in cover. Your gun can remain leveled, allowing you to keep the shot when you pop back out, allowing you to aim faster and shoot sooner, as you will not have to re-level your gun. You may even want to step a few feet back from the bunker to give you more freedom of movement.
- Learn to shoot with your non-dominant hand. This will allow you to present a smaller profile out of either side of a bunker instead of having to reveal your whole self to shoot out of the non-dominant side of the bunker.
- Use all parts of the bunker. Shooting from both standing and crouching on both sides will confuse or at least frustrate anyone shooting at you, as they will have to take a different shot every time. Alternatively, take very careful shots from the same place repeatedly, and then change positions. The enemy will be taken off guard and you will have extra time to take a shot.
